Small group discussion for medical students to learning embryology
Background: One of the most important issues is the best method to teach embryology course to medical students. Small group discussion (SGD) were used to working together, integral to learningdeveloping intellectual skills and interactive learning experience. Methods: The 72 medical students were equally randomizedto the SGD (group I) and usual lecture based teaching (LBT), (group II) in genera...
متن کاملPooling of Unshared Information in Group Decision Making: Biased Information Sampling During Discussion
Decision-making groups can potentially benefit from pooling members' information, particularly when members individually have partial and biased information but collectively can compose an unbiased characterization of the decision alternatives. The proposed biased sampling model of group discussion, however, suggests that group members often fail to effectively pool their information because di...
متن کاملThe Problem Of Retraction In Critical Discussion
In many contexts a retraction of commitment is frowned upon. For instance, it is not appreciated, generally. if one withdraws a promise or denies an earlier statement. Critical discussion, too, can easily be disrupted by retractions, if these occur too frequently and at critical points. But on the other hand, the very goal of critical discussion resolution of a dispute involves a retraction, ei...
متن کاملTopics in Mitigating Radar Bias
In this paper, we investigate two topics related to mitigating the effect of radar bias in ballistic missile tracking applications. We determine the absolute bias between two radars in polar coordinates when their relative bias is given in rectangular coordinates. Using this result, we then obtain the optimized steady-state filter to handle the random bias.
متن کاملPanel Discussion Inherent Conflict Trade in International
I should like to address the impact of economic development in technically backward countries on economic welfare in the industrialized nations, a topic of great concern to many policy makers.
